This Privacy Policy explains how Dhanuka Investments ("Dhanuka Investments", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit dhanukainvestments.com (the "Website"), contact us, or use our real estate, insurance and investment services.

Our address is Shop No. 1, Shri Sai Mahal, Fatak Road, Opp. Post Office, Bhayander West, Mumbai 401101. We are a MahaRERA registered real estate agent (registration number A51700039674).

We handle personal information in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, as and when their provisions come into force.

By using the Website or sharing your information with us, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or share personal information with us.

2.1 Information you give us

You may give us information through the enquiry form, by calling or messaging us on WhatsApp, by email, or in person. This can include:

  • Enquiry form: your full name, mobile number, email address (optional), your requirement details, and the service category you select (real estate and property, mutual funds and SIPs, health and life insurance, bonds and fixed income, or general consultation).
  • Consultation requests and conversations: your contact details and any details you choose to share about your needs, such as budget, preferred location, family details, existing policies and investment goals.
  • Insurance services: details needed to prepare quotes, process applications, renew policies or assist with claims. These can include your date of birth, address, identity documents, nominee details, vehicle details and health information.
  • Investment services: details needed to advise you and process applications, such as KYC documents, PAN, bank details, nominee details and your investment goals.
  • Real estate services: details needed to understand your requirement, arrange site visits and coordinate with developers or sellers.

We ask for service and application details only when you choose to proceed with a service, and only the details that service needs.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you use the Website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, the pages you view, the time you spend on them, the page that referred you, and your approximate location based on your IP address. We also see the property search filters you select, such as location, property type and configuration, so we can show you matching results.

2.3 Calculators

You do not need to enter your name, phone number or email address, or sign up, to use the calculators on the Website.

2.4 Sensitive personal data

Some of the information you share with us, such as financial information (for example bank account details) and health information, is classified as sensitive personal data or information under Indian law. We collect it only with your consent, only for the purpose of the service you have asked for, and we handle it with added care.

2.5 Information from providers

When you apply for a product through us, insurers, mutual fund houses, banks, developers and other providers may share information with us about the status of your application, policy or booking, so we can help you with it.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • respond to your enquiries and contact you by phone call, WhatsApp, SMS or email;
  • provide real estate, insurance and investment services, including recommending properties or plans, arranging site visits, helping with applications, policy servicing, renewals and claim assistance;
  • share your details with the providers needed to process your request (see Section 5);
  • send you updates, renewal reminders and information about properties, plans and services that may interest you, where permitted by law. You can opt out at any time (see Section 9);
  • run, secure and improve the Website, understand how it is used, and measure our advertising;
  • prevent fraud and misuse; and
  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations and protect our legal rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored on your device that help a website work and remember how it is used.

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure how well our advertising works and to show relevant ads to people who have visited the Website. Meta may collect information such as your IP address, browser details and the pages you view, and handles that information under its own privacy policy.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences through your Meta account settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the Website may not work as intended.

5. Who we share your information with

We share personal information only as described below.

  • Providers we work with: insurance companies, mutual fund houses, banks and financial institutions, property developers and their sales teams, and other providers. We share your details with them only as needed to process your enquiry or application, and normally at your request.
  • Service providers: companies that help us run the Website and our business, such as website hosting, development and maintenance, messaging (for example WhatsApp), and advertising and analytics (for example Meta). They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
  • Legal and regulatory reasons: courts, government authorities and regulators, when the law requires us to, or to protect our rights, our clients or others.
  • Business changes: a successor or buyer, if our business is restructured, merged or transferred, subject to this Policy continuing to protect your information.
  • With your consent: anyone else, when you ask or allow us to.

The Website may link to third-party websites and services, including WhatsApp. These have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

6. Storage and transfers outside India

Some of our service providers, such as Meta, may process or store information on servers located outside India. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry, provide the services you asked for, and meet legal, regulatory and accounting requirements. Some records, such as those relating to insurance, investments and property transactions, may need to be kept for longer under applicable law. When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymise it.

8. How we protect your information

We use reasonable security practices and procedures to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please do not send passwords, card PINs or net banking credentials to us by WhatsApp, email or the enquiry form.

9. Your rights and choices

Under applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 once its provisions come into force, you have the right to:

  • ask for a summary of the personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
  • ask us to correct, complete or update your information;
  • ask us to erase your information, unless we need to keep it to meet a legal requirement;
  • withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw consent, we may no longer be able to provide services that need that information;
  • opt out of updates and promotional messages by telling us on any call or message, or by emailing us;
  • have your grievance addressed (see Section 11); and
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to do so.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

10. Children

The Website and our services are not directed at anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child without the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Where a parent or legal guardian shares information about a child, for example for a family health insurance plan, they confirm that they are authorised to do so. If you believe a child has given us personal information without such consent, please contact us and we will delete it.

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Courts in Mumbai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
